Do not use generic dedicated-database formulas such as assigning 70–80% of total RAM to InnoDB on a cPanel shared hosting server. Web server processes, PHP workers, mail services, cPanel, CloudLinux, Redis, security software, backups and user workloads also require significant memory.
Server profile
LiteSpeed can reduce web-server overhead compared with some Apache configurations, but PHP/LSAPI workers often remain a major source of memory usage. MariaDB memory recommendations therefore remain conservative.
cPanel mode: MariaDB gets a conservative share of RAM. cPanel, WHM, Exim, Dovecot, SpamAssassin, DNS, backups, security tools and user processes are reserved first. CloudLinux implies a multi-tenant host, so memory is left for LVE account workloads.

Configuration score
The score is an estimate, not a replacement for production metrics (Innodb_buffer_pool_wait_free, Max_used_connections, Created_tmp_disk_tables, hit rates). Typical memory counts only buffers active at once; max_connections × all buffers is shown as the theoretical maximum, not the expected usage, because most buffers are allocated on demand.
